The course was shortened from 54 to 21 km. Conditions were very bad: winds of up to 100 km/h, a wind chill below −14°C and heavy icing on the course. GOPR (mountain rescue) did not approve the full race and advised moving the ultra to the alternative route in the lower part of the mountains. But hurricane-force winds were forecast there too — fully forested terrain, with a real danger to runners — and Sunday looked no better. So the race was shortened. The section between Odrodzenie and Słonecznik is very difficult for evacuating injured runners, which is why the finish was at Odrodzenie.
Note on the results: because of the extreme conditions, the last runners were stopped from continuing as early as Hala Szrenicka. A DNF in the results refers to this — it does not mean the runner failed to finish within the time limit, but that the race was stopped.
